JARC (Job Access and Reverse Commute) is a program sponsored by the City of Cedar Rapids, area human services agencies, and area transportation agencies. The JARC program assists low-income families by providing reduced cost transportation to work, school, and life-skill classes. The JARC Program allows people who would not otherwise have transportation to work, school and life-skill classes to continue improving job seeking skills without worrying about transportation costs. All JARC participants must be referred by a qualified human services agency, temporary employment agency or an employer to participate in the program. For more information please call 319-286-5300 or contact one of the referring human service agencies.

For the safety of our passengers and drivers, unscheduled riders are not allowed in NTS vehicles.
I have to change my pick up time and it is less than 24 hours?
NTS is a shared ride service and all rides are scheduled 24 hours in advance. By scheduling in advance we can plan
routes for the drivers that enable us to pick up as many passengers as possible. By operating this way we are able to
keep costs down and get more people where they need to go.
What if the NTS bus does not arrive at my scheduled pick-up time?
If you wish to check on the time of your scheduled pick-up, or if you have scheduled a pick-up, please call the office
